A Look Back

“Xanascout.org” has been online for 15 years now, 2020, under the domain name “Macumbeiro.org”. Before that its content was integrated in “Shamrock.ch”, my wife’s homepage. “Shamrock.ch” was a portal, which means visitors could see at a glance which part belonged to whom.
Nevertheless this system led to hassles on end. Narrow-minded site visitors, “concerned citizens”, snitches, stoolies, colleagues, “friends”, hobby porn hunters, self-appointed world savers and moralists, religious freaks and plain nuts were shocked to see the harmony and honesty that a couple had developed over time.
The SPV (Schweizerischer Physiotherapie-Verband) pilloried the homepage as pornographic, expelled my wife and tried very hard to destroy her physio practice forever.

While I (as solely responsible web designer) tried my level best to defend our common homepage, Mary and I knew that it would be in vain. At that time, 2003, defending pics of nude mothers and kids on nudist beaches was as hopeless as defending defectors in Nazi-Germany was.
A new era had begun, an era of sexual repression, puritanism and hypocrisy, which is still in full swing today.

For posterity’s sake I think it is a good idea to cast a light on some of these battles. Future generations will consider them ridiculous, I hope. But I am not completely sure. Recently some idiot on Facebook was bitching about a 19yo girl who was offered a job as a waitress in a sex club by her “Arbeitsamt”.
My comment (“a job like any other”) met with harsh criticism.
It seems that hypocrisy will never die. I have had more prostitute friends than I can count, and they all told me the same: The clients who come are the very people who, coram publico, call prostitution dirty and immoral; privately, however, they exploit these girls in the most sordid manner. And these people come from all social strata: bank directors, professors, parliamentarians, entrepreneurs, priests, brigadiers ...
They all come. And they all have little wishes that are too disgusting to even be mentioned here. A prostitute has to be very strong to deal with these sick men who live in a world of facades.
