My two visits to the Dominican Republic (September 2010 & March 2013) were interesting. The hot and humid climate, however, is a big joy killer which brings one damn close to impotency, especially since decent
food (= strictly vegetarian food) is hard to get.
It was also sad for me to see how our “planeta azul” – a much quoted bromide over there too – is being violated by an indifferent indigenous population. I have never seen more plastic garbage
floating in the sea and piling up on the shores, not even in Brazil.
I got a glimpse of what we and future generations might be in for; the Caribbean laissez-faire way of life seems to be the beginning of the end of civilization, of civic virtues and of individual responsibility.
Apocalypse to the tunes of Merengue.
But there was one highlight: the young Dominican women. They are very attractive and adorably uncomplicated. They make one feel like a colonial conqueror. This makes visiting this part of the world a highly recommendable
experience for all men who have been traumatized by feminism and feminists. |
